Review of Equinix LD5
Equinix LD5 opened in 2010 and is only a few hundred metres away from Equinix LD4 on Buckingham Avenue in Slough. LD5 offers four huge data halls, each 40,000 sq ft in size (a total of 160,000 sq ft of net technical capacity).
Fibre cross-connects are available between LD4, LD5 and the newer LD6 (which is directly opposite LD4). What’s more, all three sites benefit from the carrier community that has dug into the Slough Trading Estate and LD4 in particular.
Our customers can expect the usual high standard of fit-out from Equinix, and power densities from 4kVA per cabinet.
We can provide colocation solutions in LD5 on a per-U basis, or in one of our dedicated quarter and half rack modules. These modules are the ideal way to maintain a point of presence in this important colocation ecosystem. They also keep costs manageable without sacrificing quality. What’s more, we ensure our part-rack colocation solutions always have immediate availability.
Crosspoint’s specialist low-latency managed Internet platform is available here (see description on the Equinix LD4 page). Our full range of network services– including our competitively priced data-centre interconnects are available too. These connect to all our Central London and Docklands data centres, and further west to Everest (Reading).
Crosspoint also provides a full range of competitively priced data-centre support services (both during and outside of trading hours).
